Remote Sensing; een algemene inleiding

De laatste decennia zijn er naast de luchtcamera een aantal nieuwe apparaten beschikbaar gekomen om de aarde waar te nemen vanuit de lucht/ruimte. Er waren met name ontwikkelingen in het verre (thermisch) infrarood (TIR) en het microgolfvenster (radar), maar ook in het venster zichtbaar licht (VIS) tot nabij infrarood (NIR) hebben de ontwikkelingen niet stil gestaan.
