Welcome to the community of precision engineers

The Dutch Society for Precision Engineering (DSPE) is an independent, professional branch organisation for precision engineers, founded in 1954 and based in the Netherlands. DSPE is an unique community that stimulates professional contact and the sharing of knowledge and passion in the field of precision engineering. What makes membership of DSPE unique

  • Active since 1954!
  • The only community in the field of precision engineering in the Netherlands with its own journal, Mikroniek, an international magazine on precision engineering.
  • Members receive Mikroniek  for free six times a year and every new member receives free editorial publicity in the journal.
  • Networking events with others in the profession, including the Precision in Business (PiB) days, which happen a few times a year, and biennial events the Optics & Opto-Mechanics week and the DSPE Conference on Precision Mechatronics.
  • Groups including the Special Interest Groups on Optics and Opto-Mechatronics and Thermomechanics.
  • Member benefits at fairs, conferences and for training programmes, such as the five-day Opto-Mechatronics Summer School, LiS Academy Summer School on the manufacturability of metal precision components, Precision Fair and High-Tech Systems event.
  • The four annual and biennial awards DSPE offers for the promotion of precision engineering at both senior and student levels.
