LIGA techniek

De met rontgenLIthografie, Galvanische vormgeving en Afscheiding (Duits: Abformung) gebaseerde LIGA-techniek maakt de vervaardiging van driedimensionale microstructuren industrieel mogelijk. LIGA-produkten zijn inmiddels commercieel verkrijgbaar. Op grond van de hoge mate van ontwerpvrijheid en de in verhouding tot het gebruikelijke silicium brede materiaalspectrum, opent zich een breed scala van toepassingsmogelijkheden. Dit geldt voor medische, telecommunicatie en fijnmechanische en consumentenprodukten en de automobielbranche.
