De TWIN-sensor van TPA: een snelle en nauwkeurige hoogtemeter

De halfgeleider-laser oftewel laserdiode heeft een aantal voordelen boven de conventionele gaslaser. Er kan met “gewone” gelijkspanning worden gewerkt in plaats van hoogspanning, de glazen buis ontbreekt, waardoor de halfgeleider-laser robuust en compact is, en de levensduur is veel langer. Op basis van de laserdiode heeft TPA Systems BV een programma afstandsensoren ontwikkeld. Van een ervan, de TWIN, werkend volgens het dubbele triangulatie meetprincipe, wordt de ontwikkeling beschreven.
