De toenemende miniaturisering, worden de eisen aan producten en materialen steeds hoger. De reinheid van materialen en componenten wordt hierdoor steeds belangrijker. Niet voldoende schoon betekent daarmee al snel: onbruikbaar. Reinigingstechnologie wordt dan ook steeds meer gezien als een essentiele insdustriele discipline.
