Microchirurgie in het oog

Een opening van niet meer dan 0,6 mm in de sclera, oftewel de harde oogrok. D.O.R.C. Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center – in Zuidland levert oogchirurgen recisie-instrumentarium dat in zo’n minuscuul gaatje past. En dan feilloos binnen in het oog kan knippen, grijpen, verplaatsen, afzuigen, dichtbranden en wat een chirurg tijdens een oogoperatie nog verder moet verrichten. De ooginstrumenten zijn zo ontworpen en door vakbekwame instrumentmakers gemaakt dat de oogchirurg feilloos en etrouwbaar de uiterst kleine tangetjes en schaartjes kan bedienen. Precisietechnologie in optima forma in dienst van de oftalmologie oftewel oogheelkunde.
