As part of the 25th anniversary of Janssen Precision Engineering (JPE) Professor Emeritus Wim van der Hoek (92) performed the official opening of a new conference room.

Professor Ir. Wim van der Hoek (Mechanical Engineering TUe, 1961-85) was one of the Dutch pioneers in the field of Precision Engineering. He inspired and shaped countless students on both a technical as well as personal level.

During the Precision Fair DSPE reaches out the Wim van der Hoek Award each year. The Wim van der Hoek Award is awarded to promote and stimulate precision mechanics and the design of mechanical structures. The award will be given to the best graduation work.
