The September issue of Mikroniek, click here for a first impression, features the theme of optomechatronics in anticipation of the DSPE Optics Week 2017.

A preview of the event is followed by articles on control systems for the warping harnesses for extremely large telescopes, the art of teaching optomechanics, optical fibre interferometry, and freeform optics measurement. Other contributions include an account of the Saxion Mechatronics Forum on medical and modular robotics, and a presentation of the use of virtual standards as a smart calibration solution for inline atomic force microscopy.
