Mikroniek September 2026: Defence Technology

The September issue of Mikroniek is devoted to the theme of Defence Technology. The main theme article presents the challenges of radar system development, requiring quick multidisciplinary design analysis cycles where dynamic shock loads tend to dominate the design.

A second theme article is devoted to testing of the radiation hardness of sensors for fine steering mirrors used in laser satellite communications. Other articles feature a new method for structure-preserving model reduction of modular, high-precision systems; ultra-short laser ablation for high value industrial applications; and a report of euspen’s International Conference & Exhibition 2026.
