Mikroniek February 2025: High-Tech Systems

The February issue of Mikroniek is devoted to the theme of High-Tech Systems. The main theme article describes the integration, alignment and testing of the complex and sensitive optomechanical Laser Projection System for the VLT and ELT telescopes.

Other features include the auto-alignment of suspended optical cavities for a gravitational-wave interferometer, the development of a photonic integrated circuit test prober for wafer-level testing, and an extensive article on Lorentz and reluctance actuators and their performance (improvement). Also in this issue, a report of the ASPE Annual Meeting 2024 in Houston, TX, USA, with a strong Dutch representation. Click here for a first impression.
