The December issue of Mikroniek, click here for a first impression, features the theme of astronomical instruments. The coverage includes two of the world’s super telescopes that are currently under design/construction, the European Extremely Large Telescope, with strong input from TNO, and the Thirty Meter Telescope. Naturally, this issue also contains reports of the 2016 Precision Fair, the annual highlight for the Dutch precision engineering community, and the award ceremonies for precision engineering ‘stars’ under the auspices of DSPE, and much more.
