Mikroniek December 2024: Multi-Physics in Precision Engineering

The December issue of Mikroniek is devoted to multi-physics precision engineering.

The first article presents the synergy between physics-based models and neural networks for creating accurate digital twins, as illustrated for a wire-bonder case. Other articles feature sensor development for a laser communication terminal, simulation-driven design of a bike wheel, and energy-efficient electromagnetic actuators. The cover story is concerned with modelling of thermal drift in precision applications. Also included are reports of the Precision Fair 2024 and the DSPE Opto-Mechatronics Symposium 2024.
