Mikroniek April 2025: Smart Design for Manufacturability

The April issue of Mikroniek is devoted to the theme of Smart Design for Manufacturability. The main theme article describes how Design for Manufacturing and Assembly can bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Other features include Design for Additive Manufacturing, and the development of zero-assembly flexure-based grippers for agro-food aplications. Also in this issue, the design of a deployable mechanism for the Adaptive Secondary Mirror of the W.M. Keck Observatory telescopes on Hawaii, and AI-driven visual inspection of photonic wafers. Event reports cover the High Tech Systems Center symposium on Systems Engineering & Complexity in Hightech, and the VCCN Cleanliness Day 2025. Click here for a first impression.
