The title is “Settling performance improvements of bonding semicon manufacturing equipment using nonlinear motion control strategies”

The lecture will be given by Luke van Eijk, ASM Pacific Technology.

In industry, linear feedback controllers (e.g. PID) are most often utilized for the positioning of high-precision motion stages. However, linear control is subject to inherent performance limitations. Nonlinear feedback control can be applied to overcome these challenges. In this presentation, two nonlinear control techniques are discussed: reset control and the hybrid integrator-gain system (HIGS). In particular, these two techniques are used to improve the settling performance of a wire bonding machine that is manufactured by ASM Pacific Technology.

We will start at 12:03pm on June 7.
