𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐒𝐏𝐄 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬!

This knowledge sharing event was hosted by the NOVA Optical Infrared Astronomical Instrumentation Group – who develops opto-mechanical cryogenic systems for astronomy – and was held at ASTRON Dwingeloo, Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy.

Key speakers were Sense Jan van der Molen (NEVAC), Maurice Teuwen (JPE – Driven by innovation), Gabby Aitink–Kroes (SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research), Pieter–Paul Lerou (DEMCON kryoz), and Ramon Navarro (NOVA Optical Infrared Astronomical Instrumentation Group). A guided tour gave a good overview of the research and engineering activities related to ASTRON and NOVA.
