EVENT 23 December 2024

Lunch lecture February hosted by Demcon

Titel: ‘Accelerating innovation – solving dynamical challenges in next-generation cable slabs’

About this event

Speaker will be: Koen Franse, Multiphysics Engineer at Demcon Best

Demcon Multiphysics provides advanced simulation services to support the development process of innovative products and complex systems. Koen is mainly working on structural mechanics and dynamics analysis.

Abstract: Rising performance demands in high-tech systems expose cable slabs to higher forces and accelerations, causing undesired dynamic effects. To address this, we developed an efficient modeling framework that enhances understanding and optimization of cable slab behavior. Supported by data from a test setup at Demcon, capable of reaching setpoints up to 600 m/s², this improves the design process of next-generation cable slabs. This talk highlights the tools and methods used to tackle the dynamic challenges involved.

Every first monday of the month DSPE organizes for their members a lunch lecture. Each time there is a different topic that a speaker is going to talk about.

We start after the sirens at 12:02pm. Questions can be asked after the 25 minutes presentation. If you want to keep informed about these lunch lectures please send an email to info@dspe.nl
