Elektrochemisch bewerken van materialen (Electro Chemical Machining of ECM) is een relatief nieuwe methode voor materiaalverwijdering. Op de TU/e is onderzoek gedaan naar de haalbaarheid en het nut van deze methode, naar aanleiding waarvan van een complete ECM machine is ontworpen en vervaardigd.
