Location Brainport Development, Emmasingel 11, Eindhoven (meeting room WORLD)
Guy Wittich, representative of the Netherlands Trade & Investment Office will give a presentation regarding the businesses opportunities in the high-tech sector in Taiwan. In specific he will elaborate on the opportunity to participate in the Holland High Tech Pavilion at SEMICON Taiwan 2016. This event will also be used to discuss business views on a possible high-tech mission to Taiwan.

High-tech opportunities in Taiwan
Taiwan is next to Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea one of the “Asian Tigers”, and has evolved over the years into a strong economy driven by technology and innovation. Taiwan is responsible for 90% of the world’s computer chips and has a very strong OEM manufacturing industry. It is easy to understand that the Dutch top sector High-Tech Science and Materials, has made Taiwan as a priority country for their international focus. NTIO and Brainport want to help the Dutch High Tech SME’s to seize the opportunities in Taiwan.
There are opportunities for Dutch businesses in the HTSM sector in Taiwan in:

- Semiconductor industry (the SEMICON fair)
- Precision Engineering
- Smart Industry
SEMICON Taiwan 6-9 September 2016
SEMICON Taiwan is the premier event for microelectronics manufacturing. nanoelectronics, MEMS, photovoltaics and related high-tech electronics. SEMICON Taiwan with more than 40,000 visitors is the most important trade fair in the world for the semiconductor industry.
Holland High Tech Pavilion Pavilion
The Netherlands Trade & Investment Office (NTIO), the Dutch representation in Taiwan, in collaboration with the top sector HTSM, organizes the Holland High Tech Pavilion at the SEMICON 2016 in Taipei. Every company has its own display area including the TV screen, and only needs to bring a company presentation on USB stikck and promotional material.
