EVENT 27 February 2026

Café Eureka

Café Eureka offers Young Professionals the place to be together and to gain experiences with an interactive interview with an inspiring guest.

About this event

Dear Young Professionals,

Young DSPE  will organize the next edition on  April 9th. Cafe Eureka loves to show you how interesting technical careers develop.  Our guest will be Kees Verbaan.

Kees Verbaan received the B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering (with great appreciation) in 2007 at the Hogeschool Utrecht. He received the M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering (cum laude) in 2010 at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) under supervision of prof.dr.ir. M. Steinbuch and dr.ir. P.C.J.N. Rosielle in a design project for ASML Research Mechatronics. Thereafter, he started as a Ph.D.-student in the Control Systems Technology group of the mechanical engineering faculty of the TU/e under supervision of prof.dr.ir. M. Steinbuch working on a project for ASML Research Mechatronics. This research project was finished succesfully in the spring of 2015. Currently, he has been working as a System Architect at NTS Systems Development in the Stages & Handlers Group.

In the world of precision technology, acquiring knowledge is important for the young engineers. Acquiring knowledge is made easier when you are friends with the knowledge holder. In short, making contacts is important for the young engineer. The DSPE wants to play a bigger role in involving young people in society. Café Eureka offers young engineers the place to be together and to gain experiences with an interactive interview with an inspiring guest. The interviewers will ask the guest about his experiences, but the audience is very welcome to interfere with questions. Target audience are millenials (young precision professionals) You as a young professionals are very welcome to join this café.

No costs involved for the audience. Please bring friends with you.
