Mikroniek June 2026: Design for Sustainability
The June issue of Mikroniek is devoted to Design for Sustainability. The main theme article presents the challenges of thin metal production for mass-manufactured energy systems.Other theme articles include ASML’s sustainability policy and the TU/e Casimir Institute’s perspective on circular precision engineering. A first in this issue is the Manufacturability Update by Firat Büyükcivelek, which is to become a recurring feature. Also included are the design & validation of a piezoelectric wafer stage for electron-beam-inspection systems, a report of the DSPE Knowledge Day Cryo, and a rethinking of non-functional requirements in systems engineering. Theme: the opto-mechatronics of telescopes: from tiny to extremely large.
The instrumentation required for imaging space poses many challenges. The design, materials, and construction of these instruments must not only consider resolving power, but are also subject to constraints related to size, configuration, weight, and thermal variations. This event highlights the latest technological developments in telescope instrumentation.

Dutch Precision Week is a high-tech event focused on precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, and high tech technology in the Netherlands. It typically brings together international experts, companies, and organizations working in high tech industrie. We are approaching precision network organisations in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brasil, USA, Europe.
In the Dutch Precision Week, from monday 16 till friday 20 November 2026, you will meet the Dutch way of system architecting, system engineering, designing and realisation of high complexity systems.
Aside of the conferences you can meet the industry by means of company visits. We can help you to arrange one-to-one meetings with potential industrial partners.
Why to visit the Dutch International Precision conference (DIPC) on November 17th 2026:
- International conference with OEMs, suppliers, and research institutes
- Collaborative innovation in complex high-tech systems
- Applications of high-tech metrology
- International collaboration and networking
