Mikroniek September issue: Metrology & Timekeeping

The September issue of Mikroniek, click here for a first impression, is devoted to the theme of Metrology & Timekeeping. The cover story is about lensless microscopy using coherent diffractive imaging. Other theme articles include accurate timekeeping using atomic clocks, applications of silicon-based compliant mechanisms in mechanical watches, and sensor technology in coordinate measuring technology. Henny Spaan, owner of IBS Precision Engineering, discusses metrology trends in precision manufacturing. In this issue also a report of the (non-virtual!) Techcafé about Digital Twinning

This event will be organized in Dutch.

Het Techcafé is de plek om ongedwongen nieuwe contacten op te doen én onder het genot van een borrel en bitterbal van gedachten te wisselen over tech onderwerpen. Op 22 september opent Mikrocentrum op zijn locatie in Veldhoven samen met DSPE van 15:30 tot 18:00 uur de deuren voor het Techcafé.

Lunch lecture October hosted by MTA group

The title of this lunch lecture is; Microsurgical robot MUSA3 – a collaboration between Microsure and MTA. The speakers will be: Dick Dijkkamp: CTO Microsure and Richard van Lieshout: CTO MTA. We will start at 12:02pm on October 3 2022.

Optomechatronics Symposium 2023

It will be the fifth edition of the DSPE initiative that started in 2013 as the DSPE Optics and Optomechatronics Symposium in Eindhoven (NL). Earlier editions were held in Delft (NL) in 2015, Aachen (Germany) in 2017, and Eindhoven in 2019. This symposium will be organized by DSPE in collaboration with the German photonics cluster Optence and Mikrocentrum. It is a great moment to network and meet technical peers.

Save the date: November 3 2022 Molecular Contamination Control knowledge day.

Chemical or molecular contaminants are harmful in vacuum applications because they reduce the yield and life of machine components. Molecular contamination can be prevented by using suitable materials, clean gases and ensuring that parts are properly cleaned, manufactured, assembled and inspected. This Knowledge Day will focus on Molecular Contamination Control through several very interesting topics and presented by speakers from the Semicon, Space and Analytical industries.

The theme is about New design principles and will appear on October 28 2002.
