100 jaar Invar en aanverwante legeringen

Dit jaar wordt herdacht dat honderd jaar geleden C.E.Guillaume een ijzerlegering vond met een, bij normale omgevingstemperaturen, vrijwel afwezige thermische uitzetting. Een overzicht wordt gegeven van Invar en gerelateerde legeringen. Ook worden een aantal toepassingsgebieden besproken.
