Lunch lecture October hosted by Nobleo Technology
Title: Design of a stiff and lightweight 5-Link SCARA robot
About this event
This project covers the design and evaluation of a stiff and lightweight 5-link SCARA robot for high-precision, high-throughput semiconductor applications. The feasibility of a parallel SCARA topology is investigated, with particular focus on working mode switching as a strategy for enlarging the usable workspace. A performance atlas synthesis method is extended to account for alternative workspace orientations and optimization goals, enabling systematic selection of link dimensions. A complete mechanical design is realized, and its performance is evaluated by means of FEM and motion simulation.
