DSPE Lunch lecture: Through-wall maglev stage: design by topology optimization considering additive manufacturing
7 December 2020
In order to stay connected during this period of much working from home and reduced social contacts, the DSPE organizes a series of lunch lectures (in Dutch and online) especially for members with the aim of sharing knowledge for and by members. These lunchtime lectures, on a technical topic, take place every first Monday of the month at lunchtime (when the sirens go off). Afterwards there is the possibility to ask questions or to chat.
By Elwin Boots, Sr. Mechatronic System Designer MI-Partners
Elwin will introduce the magnetically mounted "through-wall" stage, which he designed as part of his graduation work at Delft University of Technology. He will also discuss the redesign of the stage chuck, which was part of the Imsys-3D project. In this project, the topology of the chuck has been optimized and realized by 3D printing with the aim of maximizing the first three natural frequencies. The design process is shown, along with the ultimately achieved results.
Program DSPE Lunch lectures:
• Monday January 4: VDL ETG
• Monday February 1: SRON
• Monday 1 March: to be completed further
You can register for a lecture from 20 November to send an mail to email@example.com
More details about the content of these lectures (in Dutch and online) can be followed on the website or in the upcoming newsletters.
